Looking down onto the top of the sculptural clock, the flat-topped, four-sided pyramid is topped with four sculptural forms that will move in clock rotation. The second hand rising straight up is a black Shen (eternity symbol of a disc standing on a horizontal rod). The minute hand is a brass hawk silhouette pointing outward parallel to the top of the pyramid, and opposite the minute hand representing watchfulness – a cutout brass Wedjet-eye is positioned vertically to be about the same height as the rod holding up the Shen. The hour hand is a flat aluminum plank parallel to the pyramid top. On each side of the pyramid, at the top edge are 3 aluminum discs marking the hours. The edges of the pyramid are seamless, providing clean lines to the structure itself. The brass surface has a brushed texture that spreads a textured light across its surface.
