The ladder-like form of this being has an undulating essence that holds up the heavens. The madrone wood appears split down its length to reveal the heartwood, where two gold-leafed snakes carved into the ladder cross back and forth to form the rungs that rising from knee length to the area of the head. There, snake heads meet as eyes that appear like the calmly lidded Sipa Barda's. Vibrant snake tongues bridge across to connect the eyes together. The outer wood of ladder is gold leaf, culminating in feline shaped ears. These ear points hold up a convex cosmic egg containing a painted spiral galaxy in shimmering silver leaf, pale golds, and blues. In the center of the ladder body is a delicate brass spiral, positioned in an active spiral direction. To the left and right are pronghorn antlers reaching outward as arms. In its right arm, rising upward, is held a moonstone cabochon, and in its left arm reaching outward to the side, is held an onyx cabochon.

Voices of Nature

A diptych of etched and painted weathered slate tiles, has gold leaf imagery of lemniscates, and spiral of creation, with an etched smoke bird rising from flames. Slates are positioned side by side on recycled sheet lead.

Composite painting presents a hawk form of Horus bas relief, in lime-green hues, in the upper left quadrant of the cloudy blue and white sky background. The Horus image rests at the upper edge of an image of a redwing blackbird laying on a lawn. The meeting edge is a soft transition with overlaying symbols of transformation and renewal overlapping both images.

Archival pigment prints integrating Egyptian archetypes, fallen birds, and nature, images are of photographic origin taken into painterly digital composites.
